When

In what circumstances would industry and academia use Getin2Games? We did a widely circulated survey and the results are as follows:

Industry

● 92% cited that finding good entry level talent was a problem for them

● 100% viewed internships as the most valued method of evaluating job candidates

● 86% felt constrained to sourcing interns from their immediate geographic area/local universities, which also limited their candidate pool

● Only 4% felt that they had the time and resources to interface with multiple universities abroad to find the best candidates

● 96% would prefer an online database of internship and entry level job candidates where they would search for specific skills, view portfolios and academic achievements of the candidates, and even coordinate remote interviews

● 88% said that would welcome having a single point of contact to reach a much broader spectrum of universities and their students

● 80% said they would offer more internship and job opportunities to these sources if the process were simplified for them

Academia

● Less then 5% of University rated themselves as very effective at obtaining appropriate internship positions for their students

● 94% felt that a better internship program would increase the competitive posture of their University in attracting new students

● 100% of University respondents said that getting feedback from companies on their student's performance was not only critical to their guidance of that student but also to learning more about how their curriculum should be modified to better support industry needs

● 30% offer no job placement services, but 100% of those that don't felt that they should be offering the service

● Of the total, 85% felt they lacked a good network to reach employers outside their immediate geographic area

● Between 75 and 85% rated finding jobs at game publishers, game developers and outsourcing studios as either difficult or very difficult

● 91% identified having better career placement services as a critical need
